I am currently qualified, eligible, and competitive for not 1 but 2 programs!
So here is the layout:
Environmental Education and Awareness
- Program leaves June-ish (they are working on the date)
- Ready to roll on this program (no more experience required)
- They have enough people interested in this program that it is still competitive

- Teach in elementary and secondary schools and provide environmental education to youth groups and individuals outside school settings
- Oversee organizational development of environmental groups
- Promote sustainable use of land- or marine-based resources
- Develop and promote community-based ecotourism and other income-generating activities for communities living near protected areas
- Teach soil conservation, forestry, and vegetable gardening practices

Forestry
- Program Leaves September-ish
- I need some more growing experience
- They desperately need people for this program and I meet all but the above criteria

- Conduct soil conservation and reforestation projects
- Oversee watershed management and flood control
- Encourage production of sustainable fuels
- Improve agroforestry practices, such as fruit production
- Build live fences and alley cropping
- Encourage preservation of biodiversity, sometimes near national parks or other reserves
- Utilize GIS/GPS in land use planning
